Environmental lawyer powers up for Jones Day
An environment, health and safety partner at Allens has joined the energy practice of Jones Day in Sydney.

Earlier this year, Jones Day poached another long-serving Allens partner, Stephen McComish, to lead the global firm’s new Perth office, which opened in April. McComish had been a partner in Allens’ dispute practice for almost a decade.
Parker and McComish are among several partners who have departed Allens this year.
On 5 November, Lawyers Weekly exclusively revealed that Allens had lost industrial relations and employment law partner Jamie Wells to King & Wood Mallesons.
Within a week, infrastructure and construction law specialist Ren Niemann, who started his legal career at Allens and had been a partner there for seven years, defected to McCullough Robertson.
Other senior exits have included competition and regulatory specialist Jo Daniels, who left the firm in April to launch Baker & McKenzie’s new office in Brisbane; and M&A partner Alex Ding, who defected to Lander & Rogers in July.
