Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed former Minter Ellison lawyer Jillian Button (pictured) as a partner in its environment and planning group in Melbourne.

Ms Button has experience advising clients on planning, environment, resources, regulatory and public land matters, as well as climate change, agribusiness, waste management, infrastructure projects and urban development.

“Jillian Button will expand the depth and reach of Corrs’ environment and planning group’s experience and expertise,” said Corrs partner and CEO John Denton AO.

“With infrastructure projects around the country booming and the complexity of approvals and allocations increasing, we are committing to greater investment in the depth of talent for our clients.”

Corrs recently appointed special counsels Felicity Daley and Peter Anderson, who both previously worked in-house. The firm also recently promoted Airlie Fox, Andy Leadston and Brent Lillywhite to partnership.
