Returning for the seventh year, the Corporate Counsel Summit 2025 offers Australia’s in-house counsel practical tools and strategies for career and business success.

The highly anticipated event is a pre-eminent leadership forum designed for Australia’s legal professionals. The summit will unite over 250 in-house counsel for a day of jam-packed insights from the nation’s leading legal minds.

Danielle Corden, general counsel at Royal Women’s Hospital Melbourne, will join Olivia Perks from the University of Sydney, Rachel Launders from Nine Entertainment, and Nicole Choolun from SBS to explore the corporate counsel mandate enforcing legal and ethical standards against ingrained cultural norms.

Corden will refer to the recent PwC scandal as a focal point throughout the session to examine how counsel can prioritise values-based decision making to build transparency, raise accountability, and promote integrity and wellbeing.

With over 10 years of experience, Corden is a GC with a robust background in health law, risk management, compliance, and medical negligence.

Her diverse range of experience includes representing public hospitals, rural doctors, community health services, ambulance services, the state of Victoria, and the Department of Human Services in civil litigation and coronial inquests.

At the summit, Corden will reflect on her deep expertise, having worked with hospitals, corporate hospital operators, insurers, private health organisations, and medical practitioners to explore crucial themes in the current corporate counsel climate.
