Uber’s Cameron Loughlin joins an impressive speaker line-up, including Shannon Finch, group general counsel and group executive at Westpac Group, and Rama Lingard, head of legal, Australasia, at Mastercard, ahead of the seventh annual Corporate Counsel Summit 2025.

The premier one-day event, hosted by Lawyers Weekly with principal partners Lawyers on Demand (LOD) and Consilio, offers Australia’s in-house counsel practical tools and strategies for career and business success.

Loughlin heads up the legal team for Uber Group in Australia and New Zealand, where he is responsible for a broad range of legal matters.

His role spans anything from corporate governance, product counselling and enterprise contracting to high-stakes litigation and regulatory investigations.

He is also involved in a range of initiatives, including serving as a member of Uber’s ANZ leadership team, acting as the global lead for Uber Legal’s inclusive culture taskforce, and holding the position of director at Mobility Mutual Limited.

Before leading Uber’s Australian and New Zealand legal team, Loughlin was the global chief of staff for one of Uber’s senior executives, based in San Francisco.

Beyond his role with Uber Group, Loughlin is on the board of the Association of Corporate Counsel and is a GC100 member. He is also listed in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist and Doyles Guide as a leading Australian in-house lawyer.

At the Corporate Counsel Summit, Loughlin will discuss the recent regulatory actions and how organisations can implement effective compliance strategies to mitigate risks in the current climate.

The session will spotlight the latest actions by ASIC, ACCC, and other bodies to uncover critical compliance challenges and offer actionable strategies to protect businesses.

With Loughlin’s extensive experience navigating complex regulatory landscapes, his insights will provide in-house counsel with the tools needed to stay ahead of the curve in an increasingly regulated environment.
