With an impressive speaker line-up, Lawyers Weekly is proud to announce Stuart Gregor as one of the key business minds set to present a session.

A man of many talents, Gregor is a small-business owner, commentator, company director, industry leader, journalist, gin and wine maker, creative force, auctioneer, MC and self-proclaimed humorist.

Gregor has a strong background in business development, having spent the last decade as co-founder and global trade director of Four Pillars Gin (2013–2023).

During his time at Four Pillars Gin, Gregor developed the business into Australia’s No.1 craft distilling success story, with the products being sold worldwide across more than 30 markets.

Drawing on his decade of experience as co-founder of Four Pillars Gin, Gregor will share valuable insights and lessons that legal and business professionals can apply to drive success in their careers.

Gregor and his co-founders sold out of Four Pillars in July 2023 for an undisclosed sum to drinks giant LION, part of the global Kirin Group.

Under Gregor’s decade-long stewardship, Four Pillars was thrice awarded (2019, 2020 and 2023) the International Gin Producer of the Year at the International Wine and Spirits Competition in London, the world’s highest accolade for a gin business.

Four Pillars also won a multitude of domestic and international awards, including being named Australia’s Liquor Brand of the Year, the Global Green Initiative for sustainability, certified carbon-neutral status, and trophies across three continents.

In addition to his success at Four Pillars, Gregor also held the position of president of Australian Distillers from 2014–2022, during which time he had the opportunity to oversee the phenomenal growth in the Australian distilling community.

In 2023, Gregor received recognition for his contributions to the industry by being honoured as an inductee number six in the Australian Distillers Hall of Fame.

At the Corporate Counsel Summit, Gregor will share insights from his experience as a founder, delving into the crucial role of general counsel in navigating the challenges and opportunities of building a greenfield brand.
