Jenn McCarron has been named the new president of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC), a “milestone” appointment that sees the legal transformation organisation crown an all-female leadership team.

Ms McCarron has served as the director of legal ops and tech at Netflix for nearly five and a half years and has been a board member of CLOC since January 2020.

Previously, she has served as the head of legal tech at Spotify and senior tech program manager at Cisco.

Ms McCarron assumed the role on 1 January 2024 and took over from the now-immediate past president, Mike Haven, who is the head of legal operations at Intel. He will continue to serve on the board.

Under his leadership, CLOC said, the organisation “navigated the challenges of the pandemic and expanded its global reach, setting the stage for continued success”.

Marsh McLennan chief legal innovation counsel and CLOC vice-president Farrah Pepper said: “On behalf of the board, we warmly welcome Jenn McCarron as CLOC president.

“Having worked closely with Jenn for many years, we look forward to the innovative and collaborative approach she will bring to her new role to help the CLOC community continue to thrive and soar to new heights.”

Splunk vice-president of legal and government affairs strategy and operations Frances Pomposo, who is the treasurer of CLOC, said that Ms McCarron’s appointment is a “testament to CLOC’s commitment to contributing to a culture of growth, innovation, and empowerment”.

“We’re dedicated to enriching our community by embracing a wide range of skills and perspectives. The combination of talent on our leadership team will allow us to continue to drive change and innovation in our industry and community,” she submitted.

The combined leadership of Ms McCarron, Ms Pepper, and Ms Pomposo sees the organisation boast an all-female leadership team.

The trio, CLOC noted, are “set to broaden the spectrum of career opportunities within legal operations and reinforce its commitment to community growth”.

Ms McCarron said: “My presidency is about ‘us’ as a community. Together, we’ll explore new opportunities in legal operations, focusing on role diversification and expanding our reach.

“It’s an honour to lead alongside Farrah and Frances as we elevate voices across our ecosystem and maximise our collective impact.”
