Speaking about the appointment, Lake chief executive and managing director David Dickson said: “We continue to strengthen the bench of talent with internationally recognised executives and board members as we pursue the tremendous opportunity, we have to set a new global standard for producing cleaner, high-purity lithium at speed and scale.

“The addition of Mark Anning brings significant expertise and experience and will be a critical partner in support of our initiatives to grow and strengthen the company.”

Mr Anning’s appointment is effective as of 9 January 2023.

In the same market announcement, Lake named a new non-executive chairman for its board of directors, Stu Crow.
