Former Qantas GC named Cashrewards chairman
Australian cashback reward company Cashrewards has completed a capital raise and appointed three new non-executive directors, including one who will serve as chairman.
Cashrewards has appointed three independent non-executive directors (NEDs), all of whom have “impressive e-commerce, digital marketing, data, loyalty and governance credentials”, the company said in a statement.
Mr Johnson said: “It’s a privilege to chair Cashrewards at this exciting point in its journey and I am looking forward to working with such a high-quality board and management team and contributing travel expertise as the business seeks to leverage the gradual recovery of the sector.”
Ms Williams said: “What [Cashrewards founder and outgoing chairman] Andrew Clarke and the team have achieved in such a short period of time is incredible and the foundations are first class. This is a truly customer-centric business, leveraging data and technology to drive great results for brands and consumers simultaneously. I am thrilled to be joining the business.”
Mr Lowcock added: “I am delighted to have the opportunity to contribute to an innovative data-driven [e-commerce] business like Cashrewards. [It] is a scalable business that delivers a sustainable win for members, merchants, and marketers sitting at the nexus of what defines the future of omnichannel retail.”
Cashrewards founder and outgoing chairman Andrew Clarke will remain on the board, the company said, as a NED.
“I am very pleased to welcome three exceptional people to our board. Brett brings impeccable governance credentials, a strong understanding of loyalty and e-commerce founded on 17 years at Qantas and more recently as [chairman] of Helloworld,” he said.
“Lauren has led successful e-commerce, digital and data-driven businesses and contributes in a non-executive capacity to the growth of other disruptive scale-up businesses. Joshua is an internationally respected expert in digital marketing, media, technology, business transformation and innovation. Having worked in the USA, Asia and Australia Joshua’s considerable experience will be invaluable in Cashrewards’ ability to implement international best practice.”
