Corporate Counsel Summit to feature prominent speakers
The former founder and managing director of LinkedIn for Australia and New Zealand and the director of legal at Google ANZ are just two of a suite of exciting speakers for the second annual Corporate Counsel Summit.

The 2020 Corporate Counsel Summit, being held on Friday, 20 March at the Hyatt Regency in Sydney, is an opportunity to hear from some of the most forward-thinking speakers and leaders in the in-house marketplace, network with peers across the country and further develop your and your team’s skills so as to maximise value across your business this year.
The first panel session of the day, discussing game-changing insights, is stacked with senior legal counsel, including Australian Red Cross Lifeblood GC and chief privacy officer Marion Hemphill, Programmed group general manager Anna Bagley, American Express Australia VP and head of legal Ryan Rayfield, and – having just been added – Google ANZ director of legal Shoshana Shields. The panel will share their views how in-house lawyers and teams can, among other things, protect the business from scrutiny, be proactive on risk management and increase operational standards.
Optus deputy general counsel Jakob Vujcic will also be featured at the summit, discussing how legal counsel must prepare for an evolving regulatory future. This session will see Mr Vujcic offer lessons from the European experience of GDPR and what Australian professionals must prepare for.
