A branch off the Lawyers Weekly masthead, the new website, Corporate Counsel, is designed to deliver in-house lawyers and legal teams the latest news, insights and analysis to this important segment of the market.

The website is due to launch next week, covering news, moves, opinion, podcasts, features and more.

“Through this new platform, Lawyers Weekly is committed to showcasing the valuable contribution the corporate counsel community has on Australian businesses, as well as foster collaboration and innovation in an environment exclusive to in-house legal professionals,” said Lawyers Weekly editor Emma Ryan.

To mark the launch of the new title, Lawyers Weekly will host an event at its publisher's office – Momentum Media – next Thursday, 6 September from 6pm.

In addition to drinks and nibbles, Lawyers Weekly journalist Jerome Doraisamy will be moderating a panel discussion with Holman Webb partner Tal Williams and general counsel of privacy and data at Macquarie Group Olga Ganopolsky.

The panel will focus on some of the pressing issues currently facing in-house lawyers and legal departments, as well as what this sector has to look forward to in the future.
