This includes but is not limited to, businesses/organisations that manufacture, distribute or sell land, livestock, dairy, grains, chemicals and wool.

Construction and Real Estate Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises a construction and real estate lawyer who has maintained a clear focus on current and future trends in the market. It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of construction and real estate organisations, including residential and non-residential construction companies, residential and non-residential contractor companies, commercial and residential real estate agencies, and franchised or independent real estate agencies.

Consultancy Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises a consultancy lawyer who has played an integral part in implementing key business strategies in their organisation.

It includes in-house lawyers who work in organisations that provide consultancy services, including, but not limited to, audit, tax and executive search businesses, organisations that specialise in mergers and acquisitions, recruitment agencies and political or communication consultancy groups.

Cyber Security Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises an in-house lawyer who best services the unique needs of businesses/organisations operating in the cyber sector.

It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of organisations relating to the cyber sector, including businesses, agencies, departments and institutions involved in procurement and the delivery of cyber capabilities.

Defence and Security Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises the corporate counsel that has best serviced the unique needs of organisations operating in the defence and/or security sectors.

It includes in-house counsel in all types of organisations relating to the defence and/or security sectors, including businesses, agencies, departments and institutions involved in procurement and the delivery of defence and/or security capabilities.

Energy and Resources Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises an energy and resources lawyer who has successfully helped their business/organisation leverage the increasing number of market opportunities in a booming sector.

It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of energy and resources businesses/organisations, including but not limited to entities that specialise in renewable energy, drilling and exploration, green technology, and refining.

Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) lawyer who has successfully implemented key strategies to drive their organisation to new heights.

It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of FMCG organisations that have representation in Australia, either through conducting national work or driving cross-border activities.

Financial Services Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises a financial services lawyer who has showcased commitment to achieving outstanding outcomes for their business/organisation. It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of Australian-operated organisations, including but not limited to national banks, regulators, regional financial institutions and mutual funds.

Government Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises the government lawyer who has most efficiently upheld legal responsibilities in a local, state, territory, or federal government organisation while enhancing opportunities for further growth and legislation.

Healthcare Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises a lawyer who works on behalf of an Australian organisation that operates in the broader healthcare industry.

It includes in-house lawyers working in all types of healthcare organisations including but not limited to pharmaceutical companies, biotech organisations and/or holistic wellness organisations.

Industrial, Materials and Manufacturing Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises an industrial, materials and manufacturing lawyer who has displayed tenacity in their commitment to upholding legal responsibilities in this sector.

It includes in-house lawyers who work in all types of industrial, materials and manufacturing organisations, including, but not limited to, automotive companies, technology manufacturers and fashion distributors. This also includes importers and wholesale suppliers in the industrial, materials and manufacturing industries.

Infrastructure and Utilities Lawyer of the Year

This award recognises an infrastructure and utilities lawyer who has successfully supported the implementation and undertaking of government and/or commercial projects that fuel Australia’s economic and social growth.
