National law firm Gilchrist Connell has added a new principal for its workplace practice, who joins the firm from Aitken Partners.
Bhrig Chauhan (pictured) is the newest principal at Gilchrist Connell, bringing a “wealth of experience” advising employers, insurers and individuals on a range of workplace-related matters, including statutory prosecutions, discrimination, employment disputes, sexual harassment claims, unfair dismissals, and disciplinary and regulatory investigations.
In a statement, the firm said that Mr Chauhan provides strategic advice to minimise legal exposure associated with performance management, executive disputes, restructuring, employment contracts, policies, awards and enterprise agreements across a range of industries. He regularly represents clients in work health and safety investigations and prosecutions involving construction works, manufacturing processes, road works, use of specialist mobile equipment, bullying, government care, wall collapses, recreational activities and transportation.
Speaking about the appointment, Gilchrist Connell managing principal Richard Wood said: “Bhrig’s expertise neatly complements our existing workplace offering and bolsters our ability to service clients in these key areas of demand.”
