Brisbane-based Samantha Betzien takes to the firm’s partnership ranks, working in its employment and safety team.

Ms Betzien brings more than 20 years of experience to Allens, having built up an impressive career advising on strategic and complex safety matters, employment matters and industrial relations matters.

Prior to joining Allens, Ms Betzien was a partner at MinterEllison. She also currently holds a non-executive director role at Airservices Australia, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Allens head of employment and safety Simon Dewberry congratulated Ms Betzien on her new role within the firm, noting her appointment comes at an opportune time.

“Sam is widely recognised as a leading employment and safety lawyer. We are pleased to welcome her to Allens and the employment and safety team,” Mr Dewberry said.

“Deep expertise in safety is in high demand, particularly with the current focus on effective management of risks associated with sexual harassment, workplace bullying and other psychosocial hazards.

“We’re pleased Sam will be able to help us meet this growing need.”
