Sydney firm Swaab Attorneys has appointed the former senior legal counsel of multinational engineering firm Parsons Brinckerhoff to its partnership.

Paul Brennan (pictured) will head up Swaab’s new construction and engineering group. He starts at the firm on 28 April after taking leave between jobs.

The specialist construction and engineering lawyer is returning to private practice after almost three years in-house. He had previously worked as a senior associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and, prior to that, as a solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills.

The firm also recently appointed its first managing partner in four years to work alongside long-time CEO Bronwyn Pott. Property partner Mary Digiglio follows in the footsteps of Swaab’s last managing partner and founder Fred Swaab.
