Lawyers Weekly’s Stephanie Quine presents this week’s Video Law Report, covering social media, law school fees, gender pay gap and Gilbert + Tobin prepares for a royal appointment.

Expert says relying on candidates’ social media sites to make hiring decisions could be a breach of privacy and discrimination laws.

The dean of the University of Sydney law school has said rising university fees could be encouraging law students to take on too much paid work, while it’s revealed that the gender pay gap among law graduates is widening.

Elsewhere, Gilbert + Tobin has secured a key advisory role in the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sex Abuse.
