Lawyers Weekly’s Stephanie Quine presents this week’s Weekly Law Report, which looks at diversity and flexible working arrangements in the legal profession.

A survey released this week by the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission found discrimination, sexual harassment and bullying are driving hundreds of women out of the law.

The NSW Law Society launched a new online resource with practical tips to help lawyers and firms implement flexible work arrangements.

Society president Justin Dowd touts the benefits of the resource but says employers must, more than approve requests for flexible hours, extend emotional support.

The head of diversity at Norton Rose, Sally Macindoe, makes the case for targets and quotas to encourage more women to take up positions at partnership and senior management level.
