Exclusive: New HDY partner flies in from New York
After a series of partner departures, Henry Davis York has secured a new partner from international law firm Kirkland & Ellis.

After a series of partner departures, Henry Davis York (HDY) has secured a new partner from international law firm Kirkland & Ellis.
Cheetham has worked across three continents, specialising in restructuring and insolvency. His practice focuses on representing private equity, hedge funds and special situations funds in restructuring financially stressed corporations.
Financial services practice head Roger Dobson said, "Cheetham's experience working in New York for some of the leading offshore funds and other key participants in the restructuring field will be a tremendous asset for us."
HDY has seen a number of upheavals recently, with two partners quitting in June and partner Anne MacNamara leaving to join Holding Redlich last week.
HDY managing partner Michael Greene said, "The partner departures and new appointments are reflective of [a] period of change.
“Over the last few years our firm has undergone significant transformation, as the firm has evolved in response to market conditions and in pursuit of new opportunities.”
