Nawzer Billimoria (pictured) joins the firm from Lend Lease, where he worked in-house on high profile cases including Sydney’s Barangaroo Development Project.

The firm said Billimoria’s business-focused approach to the application of law made him a suitable candidate for the firm.

“Nawzer’s loyal client base and far-reaching experience with top national and international organisations makes him the ideal candidate for the Nexus Group, and we look forward to the quality of expertise he can offer our clients,” said Marcus McCarthy, the founder and principal of Nexus.

Billimoria previously worked in the in-house team at Investa Property.

He has also worked at Macquarie Partnership Lawyers, Doyles Construction Lawyers and Clayton Utz.

This is the second recruit for Nexus this month, following the appointment of the resources and infrastructure specialist Brendan Tobin in Newcastle.

Tobin was previously a partner at McCullough Robertson.
