DLA Piper has lost its fourteenth Melbourne-based partner in just over a year.
Simon Bailey (pictured), a partner at DLA for the past 17 years, has left the firm to join Clayton Utz as a consultant.
The global firm now has 23 partners in Melbourne, a far cry from the 37 partners it had in June 2013.
In June 2012, DLA had 43 partners in Melbourne.
Bailey is a government and public law specialist who is highly regarded within the Melbourne legal community.
In June, Lawyers Weekly exclusively revealed that senior Melbourne partners Steven Casper and Richard Moshinsky had left DLA to join Melbourne boutique SBA Law.
