NRF nabs Gadens insurance expert

Norton Rose Fulbright has poached Sydney-based insurance partner Ray Giblett from Gadens.

Giblett has been a partner at Gadens since 2008 and, prior to that, was a lawyer at Clayton Utz for 12 years.

He has advised insurers on prudential regulation, distribution arrangements, policy and treaty wording, and corporate governance. He has also acted in a range of complex insurance disputes, including directors and officers (D&O) coverage issues arising from corporate collapses.

Giblett’s appointment follows the promotion of two Sydney lawyers to the firm’s partnership this month (24 April). NRF also recently poached energy & resources partner Keira Brennan from Clayton Utz to its Brisbane office.
