Legal academic awarded international honour
Melbourne Law School Professor Pip Nicholson has been awarded the prestigious Vietnam Minister for Justice Award and the Ministry of Justice Medal.

Professor Nicholson, who is the Director of the Asian Law Centre, received the Honour from the Minister for Justice, Ha Hung Cuong (pictured with Nicholson), at a ceremony last week.

The Vietnamese Minister was in Melbourne on behalf of Hanoi Law University (HLU) to sign a memorandum of understanding with Melbourne Law School.
Professor Nicholson is also the Asian Law Centre’s associate director (Vietnam) and director of the comparative legal studies program.
Prior to academia, Nicholson had been admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
