Sparkes recruits insurance team

Insurance partner Chris Wood has joined Sparke Helmore from specialist firm Lee & Lyons with his team in tow.

Wood (pictured) is now part of Sparkes’ professional indemnity and liability team based in Sydney. Prior to joining Lee & Lyons as a partner in 2010, Wood was a founding partner of Sydney-based firm McCabes, where he spent 18 years as the head of its insurance division.

Wood brings Lee & Lyons senior associates Wes Rose and Laura Rush with him to Sparkes along with one other lawyer.

Last month (21 January), Sparkes lost financial services partner Michelle Segaert to Squire Sanders.
