Heavyweight duo ditch DLA
Senior partners Damian McNair and Tony Holland have left DLA Piper to join Gilbert + Tobin.

McNair (pictured) was head of the Asia-Pacific finance & projects group at DLA, and Holland was head of the firm’s banking & finance (Asia-Pacific) group.
McNair is an energy, mining & resources and infrastructure partner whose work extends across Australia, Asia and Africa.
Holland is a banking & project finance partner with extensive experience in project and infrastructure finance, PPPs, energy & resources and international finance.
Holland, who was replaced as DLA’s Australia managing partner in January, was also previously a senior partner at King & Wood Mallesons.
Commenting on the appointments, G+T’s managing partner Danny Gilbert said: “Tony, Damian and Luke are very accomplished lawyers who will bolster our presence in Melbourne and make a valuable contribution to the continued growth of our banking & finance capacity.”
