Litigator walks out of Gates
HWL Ebsworth has nabbed a litigation expert from K&L Gates.

Greg Lewis (pictured) will join the national firm’s Sydney litigation team as a partner.
Lewis’ practice has a particular focus on complex insolvency-related litigation for banks, insolvency firms and corporate clients.
He has extensive experience advising on insolvency and restructuring issues and regularly advises on matters involving misfeasance, asset tracing and trans-national issues.
Lewis also has wide-ranging experience in the resolution of major commercial disputes, including acting for principals, contractors and financiers on significant construction and engineering disputes.
Commenting on the appointment, HWL’s managing partner Juan Martinez said:
“Greg's impressive background in insolvency and restructuring will be extremely valuable to the firm, and further strengthens our local and international capabilities.
“The arrival of Greg underlines our ongoing ability and desire to recruit exceptionally talented and respected people to our team in areas that are of importance to our clients.”
HWL has made a number of lateral hires this year, including recent hires from Hynes Legal, Norton Rose Fulbright and Herbert Geer.
