Gilbert + Tobin partner Gina Cass-Gottlieb (pictured) has been appointed to the Payments System Board of the Reserve Bank.
Announcing the appointment, Treasurer Wayne Swan acknowledged Cass-Gottlieb’s expertise in the Australian payment systems’ regulation and the contribution she will make to the Board’s work on promoting competition in the payments system.
G+T’s managing partner Danny Gilbert said: “We are delighted that Gina has received this acknowledgement for her expertise and career achievements. Gina will make a valuable contribution in her new capacity and we are proud to have someone of her capability in our partnership.”
Cass-Gottlieb is a partner in G+T’s competition and regulation group.
In 2013, she was listed for the fourth time as a ‘Star Individual’ in Chambers Global for competition and anti-trust, one of only 10 lawyers in Australia recognised with the status.
