A small Sydney-based law firm has hired a Sparke Helmore senior associate to its ranks.

 
 

Curwoods, based in Pitt Street with 125 lawyers, has appointed of Emma O’Connor, special counsel, to its Commonwealth Workers Compensation team. She was at Sparke Helmore for more than 17 years.

The new recruit has almost 12 years’ experience in the Commonwealth Compensation arena.

She has extensive experience in dealing with the entire spectrum of claims governed by the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (1988) and has litigated matters before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and in the Federal Court of Australia.
