Attorney-General, Robert McClelland, today announced the appointment of Ms Helen Shurven as a part-time member of the National Native Title Tribunal.

“I congratulate [Shurven] on her appointment to the Tribunal,” McClelland said.

“The National Native Title Tribunal plays an important role in the resolution of native title issues and the development of an understanding within the Australian community of those issues,” he said.

McClelland said Shurven’s current work as an accredited mediator will be particularly valued by the Tribunal.
