MIDDLETONS has secured a workplace relations team from rival firm Hall and Wilcox.

Leading the team is new partner Penny Stevens, a leading occupational health and safety lawyer in Victoria.

She will be joined by special counsel Nicole Fauvrelle, senior associate Kim Grady and lawyer Sam Jackson.

Head of the firm’s workplace relations and safety group, Gerard Phillips, said Stevens and her team are highly regarded in the industry. He labelled her “the pre-eminent occupational health and safety practitioner in Victoria”. Stevens has more than 16 years experience.

Last month Middletons appointed Seamus Burke and Alice DeBoos as new partners of the firm, formerly of HWL Ebsworth. Three months earlier, the firm attracted Duncan Fletcher, formerly of Mallesons Stephen Jaques and late last year appointed Kathy Dalton from Herbert Geer.

Bryan Belling from HWL Ebsworth arrives on 20 September having been in a number of defining cases in both the Federal and State industrial relations systems in the more than 25 years he has practised in workplace relations and safety.
