Clayton Utz has announced the appointment of trade mark specialist Brett Doyle as a special counsel.

Doyle is a qualified trade mark attorney and has worked in both private practice at large national firms and with patent and trade mark attorney firms.

Doyle himself said the new firm was a natural fit for his skills and experience in trade mark protection and enforcement.

Stuart Clark, the head of Clayton Utz' national litigation and dispute resolution practice, said: "Clayton Utz is delighted to welcome Brett to the firm. [Doyle's] background and experience, particularly in the area of trade marks, will further enhance Clayton Utz' ability to offer a comprehensive service to clients to help them protect, commercialise and enforce their intellectual property rights."
