CORRS Chambers Westgarth has secured its second Clayton Utz litigator in a week.

Anna Rakoczy, 2008 Australian Young Lawyer of the Year, has joined Corrs as a senior associate in its litigation group in Perth.

Rakoczy follows Mark van Brakel, who joined the same team in Perth from Clayton Utz just a week ago.

The firm said the two have been working at Clayton Utz together for five years, explaining the double hiring coup.

Rakoczy specialises in dispute resolution and conducting litigation for large oil and gas and mining clients, contractual disputes and torts, insurance litigation, administrative law, and statutory and regulatory compliance in the oil and gas and mining sectors.

Rakoczy's recent commercial experience includes acting for Fortescue Metals Group in a variety of superior Court litigation matters and contractual disputes, acting on behalf of oil and gas clients in defending regulatory prosecutions and in various contractual disputes, and acting on behalf of insurers by way of subrogated claims in a number of litigious matters.
