Natasha Davidson joins Clayton Utz from RBS (formerly ABN Amro), where she held various legal and banking roles for nearly a decade.

Her most recent position as director (ECM and M&A) saw her lead the legal negotiations and probity and procurement work streams on both the QR National and T3 landmark offers.

The director title at Clayton Utz is a senior, non-partner, legal role that reflects Davidson’s corporate legal knowledge and experience with investment banking.

At the beginning of her career, Davidson spent more than four years in the M&A group of another leading law firm and has lectured in law at Sydney University.

She has spent the past five years as chair of the AFMA Capital Raising Committee.

Clayton Utz’s head of equity capital markets, Stuart Byrne, said the combination of Davidson’s technical skills and commercial acumen and experience made her an invaluable addition to the firm's corporate practice.

“Our clients will reap the benefit of Natasha's considerable experience at the coalface of transactions working on both the legal and commercial side and her deep understanding of, and connections within, the investment banking industry,” said Byrne.

Davidson’s appointment follows that of Angus Foley, who joined the firm as a director in project finance in March 2011 from Credit Agricole CIB Australia, and became a partner on 1 July this year.
