For the third year running Minter Ellison has been named "Law Firm of The Year" at the Australian and New Zealand Insurance Industry Awards.
Nominees are judged on a range of criteria, including understanding of the insurance market, responsiveness to insurer needs, provision of education and information to the industry, innovation and leadership.
Minters' insurance team was commended for "demonstrating yet again how well it understands the dynamics of the insurance industry and the issues and challenges it faces".
"Whether through its team of market-recognised and acknowledged specialists, its 'front-end' and 'back-end' experience, on-the-ground resources they have maintained in each mainland capital, or its innovative use of technology platforms to deliver time and cost efficiencies, Minter Ellison have demonstrated clear leadership in the field," the award citation stated.
Minters' insurance practice comprises both front-end advisory and back-end claims work. It advises the insurance industry on issues including acquisitions, demutualisation, regulatory regimes, corporate governance, human resources and industrial relations and taxation.
