Associates in China are blogging anonymously to get back at their law firms in the wake of the global financial crisis, reports AmLaw Daily.

The anonymous blog posts, usually reserved for the more typically disenfranchised Americans expressing their outrage, has now opened in the Chinese ranks where Chinese language site Totoo is receiving numerous tip-offs of cost-cutting measures and all-round stinginess at China's largest firms. One blogger was particularly explicit in his/her feelings on the current state of the market: "When the market goes up, you are the (the firm's) money-making machine.

"You will be exhausted but they will keep you well-oiled and well-fed. But once the market is seizing up, you will be cast aside as a worn-out tool even though you still work efficiently."

Totoo is understandably causing some upset. In a region in which the internet is notoriously well-censored, just how are Chinese law firms not catching up with the anonymous larrikins?
