South Australian commercial law firm DMAW Lawyers has appointed a new principal in its disputes team, who joins from Adelaide boutique Lynch Meyer Lawyers.
DMAW Lawyers has appointed Patrick Kerin as a principal in its disputes team.
Kerin has more than a decade of legal experience and joins the firm from Lynch Meyer Lawyers, where he was a partner. He has expertise across commercial dispute resolution and litigation, with a particular focus on building, construction, infrastructure, projects and engineering matters.
“DMAW Lawyers is well-known for its professionalism and high standards of legal counsel with a track record of successfully representing many large South Australian and national organisations,” Kerin said.
“Commercially pragmatic advice sits at the forefront of DMAW Lawyers’ service offering. This aligns with my commitment to truly understand every client’s business, challenges and commercial objectives, allowing me to tailor appropriate advice to support the outcomes they seek. I am excited to join the team and look forward to contributing to the continued success and growth of the firm’s disputes practice.”
This comes after the firm added a transaction principal in November last year, who returned to the firm after working in-house for eight years.
Speaking about the newest appointment, DMAW Lawyers chief executive officer, Bernice Witkowski, said Kerin’s extensive private practice background makes him well-suited to the growing firm.
“We are delighted to welcome a principal of Patrick’s calibre to DMAW Lawyers. Patrick is highly respected and trusted by his clients for his prudent advice and successful outcomes in both dispute resolution and litigation proceedings. His significant experience in complex civil construction and infrastructure matters and his pivotal roles advising on large-scale projects and multimillion-dollar claims certainly complements our team,” she said.
“Patrick’s appointment strengthens the firm’s offering for our building and construction industry clients, particularly in what are both exciting and challenging times for that sector throughout South Australia and nationally. His skill set, network and personable approach will be of great benefit to DMAW Lawyers’ existing and future clients.”
