Victorian boutique Coulter Legal has appointed three new directors – a move that the firm says is one of the biggest changes in leadership in its history.
Coulter Legal has promoted three new directors, who join current director and managing principal Tom White after the firm’s former managing principal stepped down earlier this year.
Principal lawyers Bonnie Phillips and Stefan Manche have been elevated to director, as well as Belinda Perisic, who joins the firm’s leadership from a non-legal background.
This comes after former managing principal Anne O’Loughlin stepped down in February, remaining with Coulter Legal as a consultant within the family and relationship law team.
Phillips joined Coulter Legal in 2019 and has since led the growth of the family and relationship law team across Geelong, Melbourne, and Torquay, making it one of the largest family and relationship law teams in Victoria. She is an accredited specialist and has extensive experience in family law, including national and international family law matters.
Manche joined Coulter Legal in 2020 and has led the wills, estates and succession planning team for the last four years. He has deep experience in complex estate planning and multigenerational wealth transition and succession.
With nine years at Coulter Legal, including the last seven years as general manager, Perisic has moved into the role of director and chief operating officer, leading the internal operations of the firm. Having worked in senior people and culture roles across a range of industries prior to joining Coulter Legal, she brings a depth of experience and a people-led focus to her new role.
Speaking about the appointments, managing principal Tom White said that “the elevation of Bonnie, Stefan and Belinda to directors demonstrates the firm’s ongoing commitment to the future and growth of Coulter Legal”.
“The three new directors each bring strengths that complement each other and will create further opportunity and success for the firm,” he said.
