KHQ Lawyers adds ninth principal solicitor in 12 months
Melbourne-based boutique KHQ Lawyers has promoted a special counsel to principal solicitor after a year of growth across numerous practice areas.
KHQ Lawyers has appointed its ninth principal solicitor in 12 months, effective from 1 January.
New principal solicitor Adam Lambert joined the firm in May 2023 as a special counsel after spending more than 10 years at Herbert Smith Freehills.
Lambert has more than 16 years of legal experience and has “more than proven” his capability and expertise in employment law and industrial relations, according to KHQ director and head of the workplace relations and safety team Chris Gianatti.
“Adam is a first-class operator with a client base aligned with our portfolio of major ASX-listed and multinational household names,” he said.
“With deep involvement in industrial relations and major disputes for many years, Adam only further expands KHQ’s client and contractor side expertise that places it among the truly industrial practices nationally.”
This news comes after another eight new principal solicitors joined various practice groups over the course of last year – most recently, Clementina Maione within the firm’s family and relationship law team.
David Hastie, Ashleigh Le, Toby Norgate, Jenny Taing, Len Hickey, Alex Dittel, Lana Davey, and Clementina Maione have also all been appointed to principal lawyer roles over the last 12 months across the practice areas of construction and infrastructure, corporate and commercial, superannuation and financial services, intellectual property, family and relationship law and KHQ’s newly formed data privacy, cyber and digital practice.
“The calibre of KHQ’s senior appointments speak to the firm’s attractiveness in the market and are a significant pillar of the firm’s strategic growth plan,” Gianatti said.
“It’s been a pivotal year for KHQ, which has seen us not only attract incredible talent but also have the opportunity to deepen our existing client relationships while developing new ones. It’s a very exciting time for the firm.”
