Cooper Grace Ward has elevated three to more senior positions: one special counsel and two associates.
From 1 January this year, Brisbane-based commercial law firm Cooper Grace Ward has promoted three lawyers.
Tom Walrut has been promoted to special counsel, and Alfred Jackson and Katelyn Gillert have been promoted to associate at the firm.
Walrut assists clients with tax and commercial issues with a focus on achieving practical, commercial and tax-effective outcomes in transactional, structuring and restructuring matters. He has been with the firm since 2021, when he started as a senior associate.
Gillert has been with the firm for more than six years. She specialises in estate planning and estate administration and has supported many clients and their families through the process.
After starting at the firm in January 2024, Jackson provides support on a wide range of corporate, commercial, tax and structuring issues.

Lauren is a journalist at Lawyers Weekly and graduated with a Bachelor of Journalism from Macleay College. Prior to joining Lawyers Weekly, she worked as a trade journalist for media and travel industry publications and Travel Weekly. Originally born in England, Lauren enjoys trying new bars and restaurants, attending music festivals and travelling. She is also a keen snowboarder and pre-pandemic, spent a season living in a French ski resort.
