Kingston Reid celebrates 5 years
National law firm Kingston Reid has celebrated its fifth anniversary, with the managing partner reflecting on its remarkable growth, the challenges encountered throughout this period, and the strategic plans for the future.
This week, workplace law firm Kingston Reid commemorated a significant milestone by celebrating its fifth anniversary since opening its doors to clients.
Founded in 2019, the national law firm began operations with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth and a team of 45 legal professionals.
Alice DeBoos, Kingston Reid’s managing partner, shared that the law firm’s establishment was a strategic move to address the “gap in the market” of “top-quality firms focused solely on workplace issues”.
Since opening its doors five years ago, the law firm has undergone significant expansion. It now boasts a team of 16 partners, five of whom were promoted internally, opened an office in Brisbane, and saw its team double in size.
DeBoos credited the firm’s greatest strength and the key to its success to the sense of trust and respect that exists among team members.
Kingston Reid works with its clients to address their “most pressing workplace law concerns” across various jurisdictions and industries, including government, construction, ports and logistics, manufacturing, utilities, retail, banking and finance, professional services, IT and health.
“Our work has impacted our clients in really important ways, from large-scale industrial disputes, sensitive litigation and investigation and incidents to crafting effective employment strategies.
“We’ve been there in times of crisis, like helping clients navigate tragic workplace events, and in times of growth, helping them protect and build their businesses,” DeBoos said.
Throughout their five-year journey, Deboos shared that the experience has not been without challenges. She highlighted that one of her most significant lessons was understanding the importance of “rolling with the punches”.
She said: “You need to accept that nothing stays the same, and you always need to adapt.”
When envisioning the future of Kingston Reid, DeBoos anticipates that the national law firm will continue to expand while remaining committed to the foundation vision of “building a sustainable future and a legacy for our team”.
