Urdea and Koadlow, who previously served as senior lawyers at M A Legal, will be joined by Rex Afrasiabi (formerly M A Legal’s principal).

New Chapter Legal, it said in a statement, intends to leverage new prospects in industries such as hospitality and entertainment law and architecture and design law, in addition to a strong focus on the real estate industry and key players in the mortgage and lending spaces, as it seeks to expand its offering in the coming months.

Moreover, the firm went on, it will aim to maintain the high service standards clients have come to expect of the profession, while also expanding its areas of expertise.

The law firm has a team of 13, but plans to recruit additional talent over the next 12 months, to bolster its capabilities and reinforce its position within the legal community.

Koadlow expressed his accords at the new firm and its role as a crucial cornerstone for fostering additional vital relationships with their expanding client base.

“We are thrilled to announce the launch of New Chapter Legal.”

“This new chapter represents a natural progression for us. We see it as a strategic stepping-stone to develop further key partnerships with our growing list of clients and stakeholders,” he said.

Urdea underscored how the firm’s launch comes at a time of increasing demand for legal services, particularly as businesses across various sectors look to expand their operations.

“With a significant increase in demand for legal services through the 2024 financial year, this is the perfect time to launch and generate excitement around our new brand,” he said.

“Businesses are now looking to scale and take on additional transactional volume, and we want to be part of that growth.”
