Nelson Arias-Alvarez has joined PCL as the firm’s new Sydney-based managing partner. He joined the firm as a partner in March of this year from Eakin McCaffery Cox, and he has also served as an associate director of ERA Legal and a partner at Madison Marcus.

PCL has also appointed special counsel Peter Aked, Erica Bosloper, and Jack Chee and recently added lawyers Susan Su and Christine Spivak to its ranks.

Speaking about the appointments, PCL founder and managing partner Glenn Duker said: “We have built out Sydney practice from the top down.

“We have found the right senior people, and these new senior appointments in Sydney mean our Sydney team is in place and well equipped to handle more complex legal challenges faced by our clients with a wealth of experience and a modern and forward-thinking approach that is attractive to clients, and we are now well placed to start welcoming more junior skilled practitioners into our Sydney ranks, whilst continuing to collaborate with the Melbourne office.

“Key to the firm’s growth so far is the strength of the entire PCL team working in tandem with lawyers and support staff to provide quality legal services.”

The Sydney team will continue supporting clients with the “high level of service that has become synonymous with PCL Lawyers in Melbourne and Brisbane”, the firm declared in a statement.
