Under the recently unveiled partnership, Clarence members will be supported by LexVeritas’ specialists across finance, cyber security, and people and culture by way of bespoke services suitable for enabling Clarence’s legal members to “achieve growth goals efficiently and effectively”.

LexVeritas’ services, the companies noted in a statement, are tailored for the various life cycles of legal firms, from start-up to sustained and rapid expansion across headcount and operations, and are performed by specialists with deep familiarity in legal practice management.

Moving forward, Clarence members will have direct access to the trust accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and recruitment services offered by LexVeritas, while LexVeritas clients will be able to access Clarence’s suite of dedicated offices, virtual offices and meeting/conference rooms in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

The news follows an appearance in late 2023 by Clarence Professional Offices director Tony Jansz (pictured) on The Lawyers Weekly Show, alongside two boutique firm owners, detailing lessons for starting one’s law firm. The trio fleshed out the importance of community and finding the “right space” when launching a new legal practice.

In a separate appearance on The Lawyers Weekly Show, Jansz reflected on how to get the workspace right for your firm and why practising law lends itself to being in an office.

Speaking about the partnership, Jansz said: “This is an important step for Clarence in enhancing the services we can provide to our members.

“Complementary to our in-house legal services team, LexVeritas will be able to reduce the burden of business management for our talented members, so that they can focus on doing what they do best – providing exceptional legal advice.”

LexVeritas chief executive Duncan Little said: “Clarence has built an incredible community of legal practitioners over the past 25 years, and we’re excited to be able to support this community with our suite of consultancy services.

“Just as Clarence seeks to provide environments and services where Australian law firms can thrive, we seek to empower firms to be more efficient in delivering quality legal services to their clients.

“We’re here to help our clients focus on the law, by taking care of the business of law.”

Clarence has over 600 legal practices under its remit, making it “Australia’s premier work location for small law firms”, it declared.
