The firm has also promoted Marita Snipe and Shaun Colebrook to senior associate; Shalyn Mathew, Vedrana Suvira, and Gabrielle Verhagen to associate; Malsha Fernando and Joseph Siveges to legal trainee; and Kiera Burggraaf to trainee law clerk.

Elsewhere, legal assistants Anya Cheng, Samantha Forster, Ashneet Dhillon, Kiara Talbot, Priscilla Scoberg, Cara Inman, and Jemma Aquilina have all been elevated to more senior roles.

The promotions were effective as of 1 July.

Speaking about the promotions, the firm’s managing director, Lee Flanagan, said: “The recent principal promotions reflect our firm’s commitment to growing our practice across Victoria. We are thrilled to announce that we have extended equity ownership to another three lawyers, bringing our total equity group to seven.”

“Equity ownership is offered to Arnold Thomas & Becker lawyers who have consistently demonstrated high performance in their careers with us. This includes a commitment to excellence, business success, client care and alignment with the firm’s values.”

“All three of our new equity appointments show a deep commitment to their clients and have worked diligently to build their practices and teams. We are immensely grateful to have them as part of our leadership team.”

Deputy managing principal Kim Price said: “The trajectory to equity ownership has been a journey over four [to] five years for each of the three who joined Arnold Thomas & Becker around the same time.”

“Their progression is a true testament to their significant contribution to the firm and clients during that time.”

Flanagan said: “Over the past 12 months, Arnold Thomas & Becker has seen new clients increase considerably, which has also been reflected in positive growth of revenue and staff numbers.”

“FY24’s outstanding results have meant that our firm has seen new clients increase by over 100 per cent over the past four years. This growth is a reflection of the hard work, expertise and dedication of all of our people.

“In FY2025, we look forward to expanding our office footprint across Victoria, opening new sites and extending the range of legal services we offer to our clients.”

He added: “We are extremely proud of this year’s result and grateful to everyone at Arnold Thomas & Becker for the role they have played.”

“I congratulate our newly promoted people on this significant milestone in their career.”

“The appointment of new principals and promotions across the business reflect the amazing talent of our people, who are the essential ingredient in providing clients with the specialist expertise and exceptional service they expect.”
