Sam Nottle has stepped into the role of principal, while Michael Kriewaldt moved up to senior associate and Phi Tran to associate.

The firm said the promotions reflected Andrew Jewell and Trent Hancock’s commitment to “creating an environment where employees are [motivated] to perform and feel valued”.

The promotions are in line with the firm’s individual growth.

Nottle has frequently appeared in courts, tribunals, and the Fair Work Commission across Australia, where he represented those who have been mistreated in the workplace.

New senior associate Kriewaldt provides advice and representation to clients in the areas of termination, award classification and underpayment disputes, contract disputes, civil litigation, and more.

Tran has extensive experience assisting in employment-related matters within various courts and tribunals.

Hancock said the promotions reflected their individual professional development and results achieved for the firm.

This included the hiring of two new lawyers to assist with demand following amendments to the Fair Work Act, Hancock added.

“As our first employees, Sam, Michael and Phi have worked very hard to contribute to the firm’s success, so we are pleased to see them grow and develop into leaders of the firm,” he said.
