JustFund names new COO
Specialist family law lender JustFund has appointed a former practitioner as its new chief operating officer.
Leigh McBean (pictured) has joined JustFund as its new COO, a role in which he will be responsible for overseeing the lender’s operations in Australia.
McBean has previously served as the general manager of Legal Financial Services, an entity within the Leap InfoTrack Group, as well as the head of legal finance in Australia for Plenti.
He also has, the lender went on, valuable family law experience, having worked at Jones Mitchell Family Lawyers, where he focused on high-net-worth matrimonial and de facto property settlements, financial disputes, and parenting matters.
Speaking about the appointment, JustFund chairman Craig Carroll said: “We are excited to have Leigh join us. He complements our strong performance-orientated culture and shares our passion and mission to increase access to social justice and improve the lives of others.”
The lender’s co-CEO and co-founder, Jack O’Donnell, said: “Leigh brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to JustFund and has established a great reputation among family law firms for his integrity and professionalism. I have no doubt he will be a valuable asset for assisting our partner law firms.”
McBean said: “I am very pleased to be joining the JustFund team.
“I believe the potential for growth and value creation is tremendous, given the smart and passionate people, innovative lending practices, and social mission of the company, which align with my personal values. These were key factors in my decision to join JustFund.”
