Addisons promotes 9, including 3 to partner
Sydney-based firm Addisons has grown its partnership by three and appointed two new special counsel, one senior foreign lawyer, and three new senior associates.
Rebecca Dooley, Portia Malinowski, and Natalie Rodwell (all pictured) have joined the partnership at Addisons.
The firm’s proportion of female equity partners is now 43 per cent, the firm noted.
Elsewhere, the firm has named Vivien Botsikas and Liliana Vaccaro as its newest special counsel, Samuel Gauci as a new senior foreign lawyer, and Brandon Chakty, Edward Forbes, and Max Jamieson as senior associates.
The promotions are effective as of 1 July.
The news follows the firm’s hiring of a senior legal counsel from PwC in mid-May and its appointment of the former head of legal at Sportsbet in early December.
Speaking about the new partners, Addisons managing partner Kieren Parker said: “It’s not every day that we have the honour of welcoming three exceptional home-grown colleagues to the partnership.
“Rebecca, Portia, and Natalie exemplify the calibre of our next generation of leaders, and their promotions are thoroughly deserved.”
Regarding the other promotions, Parker said: “A key plank of Addisons’ strategy is to foster our talent by giving lawyers opportunities to stretch their skills and thrive, by providing meaningful support, and by offering structured training programs.
“In return, we promote based on ability and values, and it is fabulous to see the number of promotions this year.”
