Carter Newell names 2 new partners
East coast-based firm Carter Newell has elevated two lawyers to its partnership while also promoting two lawyers to special counsel and associate and hiring a new special counsel.
Carter Newell – which has over 160 staff across its offices in Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney – has appointed two new partners: Peter Motti and Greg Stirling (both pictured).
Speaking about the promotions, Carter Newell chief executive Marc Walker said: “Peter and Greg are deserving additions to our partnership and will play instrumental roles as Carter Newell primes for significant continued growth.”
The firm’s chair of partners, Paul Hopkins, said: “It is an exciting time for the firm, and I welcome them both to the partnership.
“Our clients are at the core of what we do, and I look forward to Greg and Peter continuing to deliver excellent service and expertise in their new roles.”
Elsewhere, the firm has also promoted Joseph Brighouse to special counsel in its Brisbane-based professional liability insurance team and Chelsea Lee to associate in its construction, projects, and infrastructure team in Sydney.
It has also hired Tanzia Zordan, a special counsel, from Cornwalls for its corporate and commercial team.
All promotions were effective as of yesterday (1 July).
