Madgwicks – a full-service firm in Melbourne with a 50-year history – has promoted five lawyers in what the firm is calling a strategic move, underscoring its commitment to nurturing internal talent and enhancing its capability across key practice areas.

Chris Vlahos, who has formerly served as a senior associate and special counsel, has been elevated to principal in the firm’s property team. In a statement, the firm said that he has been “instrumental” in advising on major property developments and commercial leasing matters since joining the firm in 2020.

Elsewhere, Alexandra Lawrence and Alexander McGregor have been named as senior associates, and Lee Filkin and Tye Manley are the firm’s newest associates.

The promotions are effective as of 1 July.

Speaking about the promotions, Madgwicks partner Angelo Conti said: “These promotions reflect Madgwicks’ dedication to fostering talent and recognising exceptional performance within our ranks.

“Each individual brings unique strengths and a commitment to delivering outstanding legal services, further bolstering our ability to meet and exceed client expectations.

“We congratulate Chris, Alexandra, Alexander, Lee, and Tye on reaching this significant milestone in their careers.

“Their promotions highlight our commitment to investing in talent development and ensuring Madgwicks remains at the forefront of legal excellence.”
