Arnold Bloch Leibler promotes 10 senior lawyers
Arnold Bloch Leibler has promoted 10 of its lawyers into senior positions, including two to partner.
The firm promoted Rachel Soh and Matthew Davies into its partnership alongside three new special counsel and five senior associates across five of its teams.
On her new role, Soh said her promotion has made the workplace advisory department a two-partner practice “for the first time”.
“This is a reflection of the loyalty and growth of the client base, the expansion of our team over recent years, as well as our reputation for achieving results for our clients in times of big and constant change in the employment space,” Soh said.
Davies has extensive experience within the real estate space, including developments, acquisitions and construction transactions.
Within his new role, Davies will continue to lead Sydney’s property and development practice.
“It’s incredibly exciting to take on this more senior role at a time when the firm is re-establishing its property and development practice in Sydney to meet the needs of a diverse and highly entrepreneurial client base,” Davies said.
Senior partner Mark Leibler said each new partner appointment improves the firm’s “distinctive culture”.
“As always, this year’s promotions are all about securing the firm’s future by backing bright, collaborative and creative thinkers like Rachel and Matt – both exceptional lawyers who will enrich the partnership,” Leibler said.
The new special counsel are Laura Cochrane from the commercial team, Greg Judd from taxation, and Briely Trollope from the property and development practice.
The senior associates are employment and workplace advisory’s Sophia Charles and Madeleine Durrant, the commercial team’s Christopher Davis, Erin Puckridge from dispute resolution and litigation, and Jason Rudaizky from the competition practice.
Leibler said the promotions recognise each lawyer’s “considerable experience, accomplishments and their high standing with clients”.
Also commenting on the promotions round, managing partner Henry Lanzer AM said: “Their achievements are a measure of the expertise they have built and the trust and respect each of these talented lawyers has earned within our firm and across the legal profession.”
