Former Settify CEO joins family law firm
Boutique law firm Umbrella Family Law has added a new lawyer to its ranks: a former chief executive and co-founder of a legal tech company.
Umbrella Family Law has bolstered its team with the addition of Max Paterson, who joins as a lawyer.
At Umbrella Family Law, Paterson will work with a range of clients, from victims of family violence and those with complex parenting issues to commercial clients entering into financial agreements to protect their assets in the event of separation and everything in between.
Paterson is also a trained actor, and the firm said his “unique perspective bridges the gap between law, technology, start-ups and business, offering valuable insights to legal practitioners navigating the ever-evolving landscape of legal tech”.
Partner and co-founder Jane Libbis said she was excited to have Paterson join the ranks in South Melbourne.
“It is a great pleasure to have my long-term friend and colleague Max Paterson working with us,” she said.
“Max’s passion to work hard for his clients while providing them with human-to-human support, combined with his background in legal tech and enthusiasm for the start-up space, brings an exciting skill set to our team of good lawyers with good hearts.”
