Senior associate returns to Macpherson Kelley as a special counsel
Macpherson Kelley has welcomed back a senior associate, who spent the last two years at HWL Ebsworth, as its newest special counsel.
Barney Adams (pictured) has rejoined Macpherson Kelley and will sit in the firm’s employment, safety, and migration practice group.
Throughout his career, MK said in a statement, Adams has “demonstrated a commitment to delivering exceptional service and practical advice to clients, recognising the significant impact that legal matters can have on businesses and individuals”. The firm submitted that his “approach is characterised by a dedication to clear communication, ensuring clients are well-informed and reassured, even in the most challenging situations”.
The news follows the firm’s promotion of six lawyers, including one to principal, in January. It also follows its addition of a special counsel from Maddocks as a new principal in September, its naming of a new chief people office in mid-August, its promotion of 13 lawyers to more senior roles and hiring of a special counsel in early July, and its addition of a principal and special counsel in mid-April last year.
Speaking about his return to MK, Adams said: “I am looking forward to leveraging my expertise to contribute to the firm’s continued growth and success.
“I am passionate about providing a great experience for clients, and I enjoy being a trusted adviser in both the employment and occupational health and safety space.”
MK’s principal in the firm’s employment, safety, and migration team, Luke Gattuso, added: “We are very pleased to welcome Barney back to our team as special counsel.
“His extensive experience, commerciality and dedication to client service align perfectly with our firm’s approach, and we are confident that he will make a significant impact in further enhancing our ESM practice.”
